Creating your account and signing in
Dubsado Alchemy has no passwords. Your email is your account, and signing in works the same way every time: enter your email, open the link it sends you.
New here
Start at the sign-up page at /signup. It explains what is included with a new account: "Your first service map is included.", with one service, fully mapped; every email, form, and to-do drafted; no card required. The button reads "Send my sign-up link".
Returning
The sign-in page asks for your email and sends a login link. The two pages cross-link to each other: the sign-up page shows "Already have an account? Sign in." and the sign-in page shows "First service map is FREE!" with a "Create your account." link, so landing on the wrong one costs you one click.
How the link works
When you request a link, the form gives way to a confirmation telling you to check your email. Seeing that confirmation means the request went through.
The emailed link is valid for 15 minutes and signs you in on the browser where you open it. Once signed in, you stay signed in on that browser for 60 days.
The Welcome card
On your first sign-in, a short Welcome card asks for four things before you begin: your first name, your last name, your company name, and who you are mapping for. That last one is a choice between "My own business" and "Clients, as a strategist".
All four are required, and you are asked once per account. Your company name becomes the basis of your referral code, and the mapping-for choice shapes the build path the app shows you later, on the Build tab of every map.
