How credits work

Dubsado Alchemy meters usage with credits. A credit is one service, mapped. That is the whole model, and everything below follows from it.

What one credit covers

Generating a Workflow Map costs one credit per service in it. A business with three services costs three credits, and those three services are mapped together into one connected system, not three separate maps.

The cost is shown on the Create Business page before you generate, on the cost line that reads "1 credit per service". Generation does not start if your balance does not cover it, so there is no way to overdraw.

Revisions

Every service map includes three revisions. After the third, the next revision costs one credit and opens three more. The pattern repeats for as long as you keep refining.

Each map keeps its three most recent revisions. Older revisions may be removed. Your current map is the one that matters, and it is always the one you are working from.

On an account that has only used its free credit, revisions open with your first purchase.

Adding a service

Adding a service to an existing business costs one credit. The map regenerates around the new service, and your existing revisions and refinements stay in place.

Your balance

Credits stay on your balance until you use them. They do not expire. Your balance sits in the header next to the "Reload credits" button, so the current count is always visible.

Failed runs

A run that fails charges nothing. A credit is only spent when a generation completes, so an error or an interruption never costs you anything.
