Why forms are specified, not designed

Open a form asset in your Workflow Map and you will not find a finished, styled form. You will find Form Content Notes. That is deliberate, and this article explains why.

What Form Content Notes contain

Form assets carry Form Content Notes: the form's type, its audience, and every question and field, described in enough detail to build from. Nothing structural is left to guesswork. The notes tell you what the form is, who fills it out, and exactly what it asks.

What the map does not do

The Workflow Map does not render finished, styled forms. Design happens where forms are built.

Why this is the right division

The map specifies structure and content. Your brand supplies the design layer. These are different jobs, and keeping them separate keeps both strong.

Structure is what the map can determine from your intake: which questions to ask, in what order, feeding which fields. Design belongs to your visual identity, and it lives where your forms are styled, not in a generated document.

A specified form is a complete brief. Build it in Dubsado, apply your design, and the structure underneath is already decided.
